National Interscholastic Athletics and After-School Activities Safety and Security Forum
Tuesday, Mar. 1, 2022
10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. CST
One-Day Virtual Format
An event focused on the critical safety and security challenges facing interscholastic athletics and after-school activities
Confronted with the incredible task of ensuring the safety and security of those involved in high school athletics and after-school programs, high school officials must respond to emerging challenges by integrating and leveraging new resources and information. Discussing current issues and exploring solutions in a forum environment will help high school and athletic administrators, school resource officers, and law enforcement enhance safety and security plans and operations.
The virtual forum will focus on crowd management and de-escalation strategies:
- The Crowd Management session will introduce participants to effective crowd management strategies and provide the opportunity to apply lessons learned and professional experiences to an exercise scenario using a simulated sequence of events.
- The De-Escalation session will familiarize participants with the common causes of escalation and provide tools and techniques that can be used to de-escalate emotionally-charged behavioral incidents.
Target Audience
Superintendents, principals, athletic administrators, school resource officers, and other school personnel, local and state law enforcement, emergency managers, fire, HAZMAT, facility administrators, and board of education members.
Fees
The cost to attend the Forum is $49 per person.
We have very limited space for this event, and registration is based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Companies who provide products or services to the sports safety and security industry may only attend the Forum if sponsoring.
